clean like you would 14kt gold jewelry—in an ultrasonic cleaner, in any standard jewelry cleaner “dip” or with a polishing cloth.

we recommended storing jewelry in the anti-tarnish bags provided with every purchase.

materials

short of fine jewelry, we use the highest quality materials available. nothing plated, no base metals.

sterling silver—comprised of 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% alloy material, such as copper, to provide extra strength. pure silver is generally too soft to make jewelry.

gold filled—made by a fusing multiple layers of carat gold to a suitable supporting metal, producing a permanent bond; not actually “filled” with gold. like solid gold, gold-filled jewelry is tarnish- and flake-resistant and safe for most people with sensitive skin.

vermeil—produced by coating sterling silver with carat gold through a process called electrolysis—electricity and an acid bath. The difference between vermeil and gold-filled is in the thickness of the gold and the metal used.

rose gold and gun metal (black) overlay—created by applying 24kt gold to the surface of brass-based components with an advanced acid gold electro-depositing process, not traditional plating. unlike plated jewelry, this process creates components which won’t tarnish or flake.
